This past weekend Eric, Caiden and I finally got a little vacation. We left Saturday morning and flew into Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. We rented a car and drove about an hour and a half to the Bay Point Marriott Resort in Panama City Beach. It was a great place to stay- off the "beach strip"- so we didn't have to deal with any crazy spring breakers. Caiden loved playing with all the new "toys" in the hotel room and with the chairs by the pool. The outdoor pools were a little chilly so we had him mainly swim in the heated indoor pool. I think he really liked it! One of the outdoor pools had a zero entry area where Caiden could crawl around and sit and play, and even thought the water was cold, he had a lot of fun! The resort had a pier that went out to a restaurant and the private beach area. Caiden didn't love the sand, but he enjoyed playing catch with Daddy. We had some really great seafood and played mini-golf. Caiden was strapped to Eric in the Bjorn and they still beat me! We came home on Tuesday and took our time driving back to the airport. We drove through Destin which would be another great place to stay- lots of beautiful vacation homes to rent! Caiden did really well through the whole trip, he even took some good naps! He definitely is a lot more to handle on the airplane now though since he is more mobile and wants to explore. Here are a few pics from the trip- there will be more on our Shutterfly site soon.
