Like most of our holidays, when they fall during the middle of the week, we tend to celebrate in phases.
The weekend before Valentine's Day, I finally got the last of my decorations put up. I didn't do too much, but wanted a few things to make it look a little more festive.
Eric and the boys got me roses, chocolates and a calla lily plant, but I didn't take a picture of them like I normally do :(
Caiden had school on the actual day, so he took some Valentine's to share with his friends and some "bear hugs" for his teachers. Thanks to Pinterest and
Lil Luna.
Here's my two love bugs in their festive shirts.
Throughout the week I tried to do a few "structured" activities with Caiden about the holiday. He wasn't too into most of them, but he did like the sensory tub.
We did some sorting/stringing of heart shaped beads, cutting practice to make valentines, toilet paper roll heart painting and the sensory tub with pink rice, some colored pasta and other goodies. Caleb wanted to get in on the sensory tub action, but we had to keep him busy with baby safe toys.
I don't normally do photo cards in general, let alone for Valentine's Day, but I had some credit to spend with shutterfly, so I made these cute cards to send to some family.
